The one of today's Zagórz quarters. The housing - estate, in the past called 'Zaosławie' has existed already before 1432. Previously in Zasław there was an Orthodox Church raised in 1732. In old documents there?s a statement, that already in 1462 there has been a pope, so it is a reasonable presumption that mentioned temples were not the first ones there. The church of XVIII century, similarly as the temples of close Zagórz and Dolina, was rather a small building with a triple structure. Among all monumental buildings of the Zasław area, there has survived only a manor, where Olga Sulimirska - the owner of Zasław lands lived in 1943-1944.
In the time of 1940 - 1944 in the area of the Zasław housing - estate, between the border of Malinki - Kucaby forest and east side of the Osława river, there was a Hitlerite labour camp for Jews, called Zwangsarbeitslager. According to an estimation, there died about 10 000 people (mainly Jews) in the labour camp. Another few thousand prisoners were transported from Zasław to the camp in Bełżec. There?s a monument in the village that remains about a tragic fate of those people.
