The oldest historical building in Zagórz is the church under the invocation of the Holy Virgin Assumption. According to a legend, the first chapel was founded personally by King Kazimierz the Great in 1343. On the same place, in 1697 father Piotr Głoski - the parish priest of Poraż founded and equipped a new church. The present church has been probably built in the second part of XVIII century. Most likely in the building process of present church there have been used the walls of old, gothic chapel.

The temple has been consecrated in 1745. Thanks to concerted effort of Józef Ossoliński - a state official, later voivode of Volhynia, and his wife Teresa from Stadnicki, in 1750 Zagórz has became a parish.

The next very interesting monument of Zagórz is the parish Greek - Catholic Church (currently an Orthodox Church) under the invocation of St. Michael. The church has been risen in 1836. At the beginning of XIX century, in Zagórz there were a church raised at about 1608 with division temples in Dolina (raised in 1676) and in Zasław (raised in 1732).

At the beginning of XIX century the temple has been renovated, as the roof and walls were so destroyed that it was very hard to light the candles inside. This small building, with the dimension 7,75mx6,55m, survived to the year of 1836, when there have been started a building works of new temple. Erazm Łobaczewski was the first founder of the temple, and the second one was local squire Franciszek Truskolaski.

Many interesting architectonic monuments of XIX century are at the cementary in Zagórz. One of the most magnificent is a sepulchral chapel of the Truskolaski family, raised by them in 1840. Thanks to an effort of the Gubrynowicz family, the structure has been renovated in 1993.
