Photo: Orthodox Church in Morochów

A village located on wallachian law, for the first time mentioned in 1472. In 1936 - about 559 citizens inhabited it. A great majority of them, that is 526 citizens were a Greek Catholic, and 15 Roman Catholic. There lived also about 18 Jews. All parish records disappeared during the I World War. The church register has been resumed since 1936.

The greatest monument of the village is the previous Greek Catholic parish Church. Since 1961 the Church has been taken over by an Orthodox parish under the invocation of Lord?s Meeting. The temple has been raised in 1837. It has been renovated in the time of 1921 - 1922 and in 1964.
