A village located on Wallachian law in 1478; for the first time mentioned in 1467. It lies on the left side of the Osława river. In XV century the village had a few different names, among them: Wola, Wola Morochowska, Mokra Wola, Mokrzany. Finally in XVI century there has been generalized a name 'Mokre'. At the beginning of XX century the village numbered 86 homesteads with 564 citizens. In 1936 the number of citizens rised up to the number of 665 inhabitants, among them about 627 were Greek-Catholic, 12 Roman - Catholic and 16 Jews. Natural resources of Mokre are the numerous but unfortunately not enough productive fields of petroleum. There are not any valuable historical structures in Mokre. A Greek - Catholic Church in Mokre has been raised in 1992.
