A village located at the rivers Osława and San converge. For the first time it was mentioned in the document passed by the starost of Sanok district in 1418. In that time it was in possession of Alberto de Doliny. It was located on German law. In 1441, the squire of Dolina - Jan Doliński sold the village to Piotr Czeszyk from Rytarowice. In XVII century the village was inherited by the Chyleński family. In XIX century the lands of Dolina were in possession of: the Małachowski family, the Tarnawski family, the Wenzlar family and the Tchórznicki family. In 1936 Dolina was inhabited by 371 citizens and among them about 312 people were Greek-Catholics, 49 Roman - Catholics and 10 Jews.
On the area of the village, there have survived a few architectonic monuments. One of them is a church raised in 1836. It was founded by Gabriela of Linckern Wenzlarowa, the past owner of Dolina and Bykowce. The building works were led by the carpenter Jan Długosz. The church was changed into a Greek-Catholic temple, and since 1946 it has became a Roman - Catholic once again.
On the area of Dolina there is a family palace of the Małachowski family, raised at the beginning of XX century. The storeyed, stone and plastered building raised on the plan of a rectangle.

Upon one of the angles there raises a tower. Inside in few rooms, there have survived neorococo stuccoed decorations on the ceilings.
