A village already exiting at the beginning of XV century. One of the first mentions about Czaszyn dates back to 17th June 1424. It comes from the agreement act, on the strength of which this day some Ivanko from Czaszyn sold his patrimony to his brothers: Mikołaj and Steczko from Tarnawa. In the same document, together with Iwanko Czaszinsky there is also mentioned some Wojciech Czaszinsky, who held the position of district court assessor.

The most magnificent monument of the village is the past Greek-Catholic Church under the invocation of St. Nicolaus, currently being a church under the invocation of Holy Crucifix Elevation. The previous church was mentioned in 1761. The structure of today?s church has been raised in 1835. As the result of two radical renovations in 1954 and 1969 the structure has lost its original style feature.
Apart from big monuments, the characteristic elements of Czaszyn scenery are the wayside shrines. The eldest has been raised at the end of XVIII century.
