 Bieszczady's Group of Artists is an association created to develop and popularize creativeness in painting, sculpture, graphic art, poetry and prose fields, and also the education by art. The association has been conducting its activity since 1990, and nowadays concentrates many distinguished artists, both - experienced in artist work and young generation representatives. The group of well-known artists is represented by: Jan Ligaj - pursuing inlay and sculpture in wood, Zdzisław Pękalski - painting, sculpture, graphic art, poetry, Leon Chrapko- painting, graphic art, poetry; sculptors - Jan Mogilany and Bogusław Iwanowski; paintresses : Wanda Wesołkin and Maria Pruchnicka; water-colourist Jan Lemko and poet - Jan Szelc. Among young artists: Jadwiga Zuba and Grażyna Kaznowska - Chrapko.

 Compositions of group members reflect their affection for the beauty of " Homeland" - the Podkarpacki region. You can watch the compositions in the Gallery of Bieszczady?s Group of Artists in Zagórz ( the Wolno¶ci St. ), where they are mostly presented. The compositions of our local artists are also in many private collections situated in different parts of world - they reached e.g. United States of America, Norway, Ecuador, what makes our native cultural heritage became the treasure?s expression of Podkarpacki region.
