Physical education is a personal and social value, and a participation in it is of great importance to the development of individual and society. All of the duties connected with a physical education are the prime duties of the commune local administration. The best example is the ceaselessly improved sports base of the commune.

People visiting our commune, residents and people from the neighbourhood enjoy spending their spare time on the natural watering-places of the Osława river. The one, most popular is a watering place called "Bednarka" / in the area of Rzeczna St. /. The scenery of "Bednarka" is unique with the rocky beaches and the view on ruined Monastery of Discalled Fathers Carmelites.

People visiting us often look for a quiet, restful place, away from a big city and its metropolitan noise. They find what they are looking for in the woodland scenery, full of wide variety of plants and animals, with clean air and rivers. The nature, walking on the grass and open fields, listening intently to the voice of woods - shows you the way to your inside and helps to get ahead of a daily routine .

In our forests, there live such animals as: deers, wild boars, roe-deers, lynxes, wildcats, wolves and aurochs.

Four rivers flow through the Zagórz commune, they are: San, Osława, Kalniczka and Tarnawka. They are teem with many fish species as there occur: trouts, graylings, barbells, chubs, zanders, breams, perches. You can also meet some fish species that are preserved: miller's-thumb, loach, cyprinid.
